Honors & Awards
The Recognition & Awards Committee (also known as R&A Committee) is a standing committee, whose purpose includes the administration of the "Unsung Heroines" Awards Program and the "Book Scholarship".
- Unsung Heroines
The PWA solicits annual nominations for the "Unsung Heroines" award. The purpose of the award is to recognize special women who may not make headlines, but who make a positive impact to the campus by going above & beyond in contributions to their job, co-workers, campus, or community.
- Book Scholarship
The Recognition & Awards Committee is pleased to announce the annual Barbara S. Uehling Book Scholarship for Re-Entry/Non-Traditional Students. Students who apply for this scholarship face unique challenges in completing their degrees as they juggle being a student, parent, wage earner, community volunteer, and participant in co-curricular activities. .
- Conference Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for staff & students who are PWA members who either cannot afford the cost, or whose departments are unable to support the registration fee of $60.
